Q: What's more perverse in America?
NEW! CBSNews.com Turns Off Comments on Obama Stories
Not the troglodytes, knuckledraggers and poor, pitiful immature developmentally arrested whiney baby perpetual 'poor me' victim-mentality hypocritical republican WHITE MALE abusers, opressors and predators who have been complaining about their 'unfair treatment' for the past 50 years (since the Civil Rights & Women's Movements; how ironic is that? Conicidence—NOT).
Like Imus they refuse to grow up and insist that they are perpetual poor pitiful victims when in reality THEY CONTINUE TO BE THE MOST RACIST SEXIST HOMOPHOBIC VIOLENT OPPRESSIVE MEMBERS OF OUR CULTURE. The right-wing and Republikkkan party continues to count on, exploit and perpetuate this hypocritcal, contradictory, disconnection from reality. But that's what oppressors and exploiters do: they twist and manipulate so that everything is self-serving and selfishly self-interested. There is no room for justice and equality in racism, sexism, patriarchy and especially not in narcissism.
Today CBSNews.com informed its staff via email that they should no
longer enable comments on stories about presidential candidate Barack
Obama. The reason for the new policy, according to the email, is that stories about Obama have been attracting too many racist comments. READ MORE .... Christian Abstinence Programs Not Effective in Preventing Teen Sex By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS WASHINGTON, April 14 (AP) — Students who participated in sexual abstinence programs were just as likely to have sex as those who did not, according to a study ordered by Congress. Also, those who attended one of the four abstinence classes reviewed reported having similar numbers of sexual partners as those who did not attend the classes. And they first had sex about the same age as other students — 14.9 years, according to Mathematica Policy Research Inc. The federal government spends about $176 million a year promoting abstinence until marriage. Critics have repeatedly said they did not believe the programs worked. Bush administration officials cautioned against drawing sweeping conclusions from the study, saying the four programs were some of the very first established after Congress overhauled the nation’s welfare laws in 1996. Officials said one lesson they learned from the study was that the abstinence message should be reinforced in subsequent years. “This report confirms that these interventions are not like vaccines,” said Harry Wilson, associate commissioner of the Family and Youth Services Bureau at the federal Administration for Children and Families. “You can’t expect one dose in middle school, or a small dose, to be protective all throughout the youth’s high school career.” NEW! Bush Appointees Interfered with Another Federal Prosecutor "Political interference is happening at Justice across the department . . . When decisions are made now in the Bush attorney general's office, politics is the primary consideration . . . The rule of law goes out the window." Drip. Drip. Drip. Prosecutor Plots and Gaps, Gaps Everywhere! NOTE: John Dean will appear on Countdown with Keith Olbermann Thursday, March 22, at 8PM EDT on MSNBC to discuss the many (let us count them, they are endless) ways this administration resembles and surpasses the Nixon Administration of yore. The Watergate break-in seems downright pedestrian and quaint after this group of sociopaths and liars for the past six-plus years. Meanwhile numerous stories are being reported regarding the mysterious silent, no email activity between November 16 and December 7, 2006 — during the all-important days just before the actual firing of the eight US Attorneys. These US Attorneys were fired for not being partisan enough or a loyal bushie, although initially White House and Justice Department staffers told Congress and the media they were fired because of poor performance reviews — a claim which is not backed by documentary evidence.
Some of the best reports and analysis of the meaning of the gaps were given on Countdown with Keith Olbermann by David Shuster and Richard Wolfe.

READ MORE Should Be Another Pulitzer Prize for Dana Priest Five and a half years of sustained combat have transformed the venerable 113-acre Walter Reed Army Medical Center into a holding ground for physically and psychologically damaged outpatients. Behind the door of Army Spec. Jeremy Duncan's room, part of the wall is torn and hangs in the air, weighted down with black mold. When the wounded combat engineer stands in his shower and looks up, he can see the bathtub on the floor above through a rotted hole. The entire building, constructed between the world wars, often smells like greasy carry-out. Signs of neglect are everywhere: mouse droppings, belly-up cockroaches, stained carpets, cheap mattresses. This is the world of Building 18, not the kind of place where Duncan expected to recover when he was evacuated to Walter Reed Army Medical Center from Iraq last February with a broken neck and a shredded left ear, nearly dead from blood loss. But the old lodge, just outside the gates of the hospital and five miles up the road from the White House, has housed hundreds of maimed soldiers recuperating from injuries suffered in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The common perception of Walter Reed is of a surgical hospital that shines as the crown jewel of military medicine. But 5 1/2 years of sustained combat have transformed the venerable 113-acre institution into something else entirely -- a holding ground for physically and psychologically damaged outpatients. | NY TIMES EDITORIAL: COWARDLY FLORIDA LEGISLATORS ARE SCUM-SUCKING GUN & VIOLENCE WORSHIPPERS A Day Without Guns...Twenty years ago, the Florida Legislature cravenly decided to allow “law abiding” citizens to carry concealed weapons merely by declaring their preference for self-defense. Then last July, at the prodding of the gun lobby, the current crop of state lawmakers proved they could be even more corrupt and cowardly than their predecessors by deciding to make the list of gun-toting Floridians a secret. When the law was first enacted, there were fewer than 25,000 licensed gun holders. Since then, the state roll has boomed to 410,000 and counting. READ MORE...
